Recoil Spring Glock 19 - I wasn't sold on installing the rear guide rod, but after looking at my better half around it I thought it was worth shooting a 17. I ordered a SS guide rod with a 17lb spring. My girlfriend likes the way the rifle spins and although the weight difference isn't as big as a tungsten guide rod, it does help refresh her sights and positioning. This was my first order with the expanded metal pin kit. The shipping speed was fast and they communicated well throughout the process.
Nice build, well made and about to fall apart from the inside. I was able to free the washer using a little force. I saw a bit of loctite on the bottom of the handle screw on the guide rod. This was holding the washer, not letting go. I dropped the rest and now it works fine. You may want to look into that or alert customers. At first I thought it was broken.
Recoil Spring Glock 19
There is nothing wrong with being very happy. I noticed that it wasn't colored for the different spring sizes and that there was a retaining washer that wasn't pictured. After seeing this I weighed it on a digital scale and it weighs 25.6 grams so I took the assembly to work and weighed it on a color scale digital and it weighs 25.6 not 28.3 as advertised. After several hundred rounds though, I am very satisfied with the part that functions flawlessly on my rifle. I highly recommend this update.
Stainless Steel Competition Recoil Spring For Glocks
It seems to fit perfectly when shooting, the only reason for the 4stars is because of what was mentioned before, they had a red lock on the end that goes into the frame, I had to go and rub the screw on it and service it. A while before I got a soft feeling. It seems to work manually now, but I'll try it tomorrow, if it works well my review will change to 5stars.. if it has problems it will go down from 4.
Moving to a 20lb recoil spring in the .40 S&W G22 improves slide-to-frame speed and eliminates FTFs that occur when the light is mounted on a Gen 3 rail. It is shared with the 9mm G17. It also reduces stress. The added weight and stiffness of the stainless guide rod is a nice bonus.
It is very well made and seems to be made of high quality material. Better than the OEM Glock recoil spring assembly and improved my custom G17 build.
I gained 17 pounds. "Competition Recovery Spring" for Glock 17, Gen 4. Cleaned and lubricated and installed in gun with no issues. Gen 4 requires an "adapter ring". As I cycled the slide assembly with my hand, it seemed to rub as I felt it and felt a little grinding/rubbing. I then checked the slide, lower frame housing and barrel and found no problems. The source was lubricated with the guide rod.
Glock Factory Gen 4 Recoil Spring
I have shot over 100 rounds (medium powder charge). It worked flawlessly. Handle graphics were good, surround sound was great, and lag seemed to be minimal.
My controlled pair from the hole were perfect. Also, because of my speed, I was able to find targets quickly and deliver accurate shots (15 meters).
18lb Stainless Steel Competition Guide Rod for Gen 3 G19...not just pre-date but a must have for any Glock handgun. I can feel the difference/improvement in my hands on the overall rating of 19. I can't wait to put arguments on it.
